Equestrianism is an ancient sport with a history of thousands of years, and it forms an integral part of Turkish culture. The Mercan Koleji Equestrian Club was established to pass on this valuable heritage to future generations and to give our students the opportunity to experience the unique bond between humans and horses firsthand.

Why Equestrianism?

The intense pace of modern education creates significant academic pressure on students. Our Equestrian Club offers students an area where they can naturally get rid of this stress and breathe freely. The deep bond established with horses develops fundamental life skills such as patience, empathy, and self-confidence. Research shows that the relationship established with animals significantly strengthens emotional intelligence, sense of responsibility, and self-discipline in children.

Our Club's Primary Objectives

To keep equestrian sports alive: Teaching, developing, and keeping this rooted culture alive by teaching the art of equestrianism to young generations with the right techniques is our club's top priority.

To support holistic development: Creating an active area to reduce the negative effects of coursework and exam stress on students, and to contribute to maintaining their physical and mental balance, is among our goals.

To instill love and responsibility for animals: We aim for our students to approach horses and all living creatures with respect and love, and to learn to live in harmony with nature.

To develop character: Equestrianism is a unique discipline that instills values such as courage, patience, self-control, and self-confidence through tangible experiences. Our club provides a foundation for students to carry these qualities over to the track, the classroom, and all areas of life.
